You need

Good to know: Grease for the pan and a little flour for your hands are free.

What to do

  1. Oven 400°F.
  2. Stir with a fork into a soft, shaggy dough.
  3. Shape a rough round about 2 in high on a floured board; don't knead or smooth it.
  4. Set on a greased sheet and cut a deep cross.
  5. Bake 25-30 min, until deep golden and hollow when knocked underneath.
  6. Best that day, toasted the next.
